Quick answer: can your PC run Mortal Shell II?

The current Steam minimum lists Windows 10 / 11, an Intel Core i7-10700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600, an RTX 2060 SUPER 8 GB or RX 6600 8 GB, and an SSD. As of October 7, 2026, the full-game listing does not specify RAM, DirectX version or required storage capacity, and it does not publish a separate recommended configuration.

The table below reflects a manual check of the Steam store and Steam app-details API. These are publisher-listed requirements, not our benchmark results or a guarantee of a particular frame rate.

Official full-game minimum

ComponentCurrent Steam listing
Operating systemWindows 10 / 11
ProcessorIntel Core i7-10700K @ 3.8 GHz or better, or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 @ 3.6 GHz or better
GraphicsNVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER 8 GB or AMD Radeon RX 6600 8 GB

System RAMNot specified in the current full-game listing
DirectX versionNot specified in the current full-game listing
Free storage spaceNot specified in the current full-game listing
Recommended tierNot provided

The 8 GB shown beside each graphics card is video memory, not a system-RAM requirement. The listing also gives no target resolution, graphics preset or frame rate, so it cannot confirm 1080p/60 FPS or any other performance target.

Why the beta specs are different information

The Open Beta listing currently names the same processors, graphics cards and SSD requirement. It additionally specifies a 64-bit processor and operating system, 16 GB RAM, DirectX 12 and 30 GB available storage. Those values belong to the beta listing; they do not fill the missing fields for the full game. Its recommended section contains only the 64-bit requirement, not a complete recommended hardware tier.

Do not use the beta’s download or storage size to plan space for the full installation. Check Steam’s install dialog for the current build before downloading.

Graphics options added or changed after launch

  • August 29: Increased Geometry Budgets is off by default to reduce video-memory use. The same update changes frame generation to apply after a reload and fixes ray-tracing options that were not working as intended.
  • September 5: The official update corrects excessively dense volumetric fog at lower global-illumination settings and includes effects and lighting improvements.
  • September 24: The hotfix adds a Low Latency Mode menu option for NVIDIA Reflex and AMD Anti-Lag 2, plus Hub-shadow and texture optimizations.

These are documented settings and fixes, not measured FPS gains. Start with the options available for your hardware, change one setting at a time, and compare the same scene. Leave Increased Geometry Budgets off when video-memory headroom is limited; reload after changing frame generation as the official notes instruct.

Compatibility checklist

  1. Compare your exact CPU and GPU models with the listed hardware. Thread count alone cannot establish equivalent performance, and a laptop GPU is not automatically equivalent to its desktop namesake.
  2. Use an SSD and confirm the current installation-space requirement in Steam. Do not interpret an omitted RAM figure as meaning RAM is unimportant.
  3. The Steam listing supports Windows; it does not list native macOS or Linux versions. This page does not verify Steam Deck or Proton performance.
  4. Check your game version before comparing reports. The September 14 hotfix was released on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series; console availability is no longer a future launch promise. These sources do not establish console resolution or FPS targets.
